About

My name is Robert Belilovsky, and I am not a photographer. I just like taking pictures. Every now and then, they have some aesthetic or emotional qualities I want to share with others. That’s what this site is for.

Although my best results tend to come from a Fujifilm X-M5 wearing its nice Fujinon 50mm f2 and a Canon Rebel T7 that’s married to a 75-300mm zoom lens, you may see some pictures taken with smart phones, kit lenses, or a Canon 5D Mark 1 in the gallery as well.

I tend to edit sparingly. It’s not that I hold some philosophical stance against heavy image manipulation. I just don’t have fun when doing that, and I would never know when to stop and consider a photo finished. As I’ve said, I like taking pictures. The rest of the process doesn’t entertain me, encourage me, or speak to me on a creative level. The result of this is that most of my work comes straight off the camera.
